STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

 

AN ACT declaring October 13 as Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Observances Proclaimed by the Governor; Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.  Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-cc the following new section:

4:13-dd  Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.  The governor shall annually issue a proclamation calling for the proper observance of October 13 as metastatic breast cancer awareness day and shall encourage all citizens of New Hampshire to observe the day with appropriate educational and memorial activities in honor of those affected by metastatic breast cancer and to spread awareness of the need for continued public outreach, education, and research regarding metastatic breast cancer.

2  Best Practice for Observance of Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.  To best observe metastatic breast cancer awareness day, as declared in RSA 4:13-dd, the state of New Hampshire shall encourage involvement with the #LightUpMBC campaign and the display of green, pink, and teal colors where possible.

3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
