Shawn N. Jasper, currently serving in his second term as speaker of the house and his 12th term as a state representative.
Represents the towns of Hudson and Pelham in Hillsborough County, District 37
In his role as speaker, he also chairs the House Rules Committee as well as the Joint Legislative Committee on Facilities. In previous terms as a member of the NH House of Representatives, Speaker Jasper has served in several leadership positions, including Deputy Majority Leader, Assistant Majority Leader, Majority Whip, Minority Whip, and on various House standing committees, including Legislative Ethics (Chair), Judiciary, Ways and Means, Legislative Administration and Election Law.
He is a member of the Hudson Historical Society, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, the Bektash Shriners, and the Free & Accepted Masons.
Speaker Jasper, a graduate of Alvirne High School in Hudson and the University of New Hampshire (AD, 1989), is a self-employed property owner. He and his wife Laurie reside in Hudson and have a daughter, Sarah.
