Personal Biography
10th term in the NH House
A native of Philadelphia, John graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a major in physics. He earned a fellowship to MIT where he earned a Master's in Nuclear Engineering. He worked on nuclear submarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until he chose to leave to run a business he had started with fellow grad students while at MIT. After selling that business, he financed several housing developments before discovering his true calling, that of a teacher. Starting as a substitute at Salem High, he eventually became a full-time teacher of Latin, Spanish and math, retiring after 15 years. He continues to teach one section of Latin while serving his tenth term in the NH House.
