Rep. Rous is in her fourth term as a representative from Strafford County District 7, representing Durham, Lee and Madbury. |

Rep. Rous earned degrees from Mt. Holyoke College, Columbia University, and Harvard School of Education. She is a lifelong educator who has taught at every level, preschool to graduate school, and taught for seventeen years in the English Department of Oyster River High School. She worked as a Best Schools facilitator for the NH Department of Education and as a literacy consultant for the University of New Hampshire. She has received awards from the Kennedy Center, the NH State Council on the Arts, the Council of Basic Education, Instructional Television, and the Oyster River school board. In 2007, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the NH Excellence in Education awards.
