Personal Biography

Charlie was born and raised in Laconia, NH but has lived in Brookline, MA, Denver and Boulder, CO. He has been working as the Executive Director of the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association since 1991. In the past, Charlie has owned and operated his own retail and restaurant businesses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire areas and currently owns the Laconia Antique Center in downtown Laconia, NH. Charlie has a bachelor’s degree in history. His interests include reading, law, politics and history, collecting antiques, and traveling. Charlie previously served as a NH State Representative from 2017-2020 and served on the House Transportation Committee.
Local Government Involvement
Charlie serves on the City of Laconia Planning Board.

Charlie and his cohost, Jennifer Anderson, can also be seen on their Lakes Region Public Access talk show, Today in Focus. The hour-long weekly show has been on the air for more than a decade and topics range from local and national interest stories to political coverage for local and national elections. Charlie rides a Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic and has been riding his motorcycle cross country every year for over forty-five years to attend Laconia’s sister rally in Sturgis South Dakota. He was inducted into the Sturgis Museum Hall of Fame in 2008 and was awarded “Promoter of the Year” by the American Motorcyclist Association in 2017.
