Personal Biography
I am the proud father of 4 children, and grandfather of 2 wonderful grandchildren. I have 2 dogs, an English Mastiff and a Yorkie, as well as some chickens and we all live in our home in the beautiful town of Deerfield.

Upon graduating from high school in 1986 at the age of 17, I joined the United States Army. I served in West Germany with the 3rd Armored Division during the Cold War against the Soviet Union and went on to serve through the end of the Persian Gulf War.

After leaving the service, I pursued a career in law enforcement where I worked as both a uniformed police officer and a special state investigator in the fields of medicine and education.

I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy the sports of hunting, fishing and recreational firearms use.

I used to enjoy hiking and mountain climbing as well, but during my time in the service I was injured in a training accident, that caused me to fall 2 stories, injuring both my legs and my back. These injuries have eventually caught up with me and after three different surgeries, I developed a spinal condition called adhesive arachnoiditis. I am now considered a 100% permanent and totally disabled veteran. Though my disability has caused me to give up many of the things I used to enjoy doing, I continue to look for ways to stay active in my personal life, as well as find ways to continue to serve my community.

I especially enjoy the ability to engage with and assist my brother and sister veterans and members of law enforcement.
Local Government Involvement
I was recently elected to my 3rd term on the Deerfield municipal budget committee and currently serve as its Vice Chairman.
Miscellaneous Information:
Given my background, I have a special interest in legislation that has to do with criminal justice, protecting children, fish and game, and veterans causes. I am currently the chairman of the House Veteran’s Interests Caucus where we work in a bipartisan manner to work on legislation to assist our veterans, as well as serve as a point of contact and information center for veterans in New Hampshire who need assistance. I am currently beginning my 3rd term in the New Hampshire House and have served as the Vice Chairman of the Committee for Executive Departments and Administration, and the Vice Chairman of the committee for Criminal Justice and Public Safety. I was also recently appointed by the Governor to the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.
