AN ACT nullifying the law which amends RSA 457:29 relative to marriage license fees effective July 1, 1994, and raising the fee for marriage licenses.
AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill nullifies the law which would reduce the fee for a marriage license from $40 to $20 effective July 1, 1994, and raises the fee for marriage licenses to $45.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the year of Our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and ninety-three
AN ACT
nullifying the law which amends RSA 457:29 relative to
marriage license fees effective July 1, 1994, and raising the fee for
marriage licenses.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Represen-
tatives in General Court convened:
149:1 Marriage License Fee Amendment Nullified. 1989, 277:2 and 277:3, I shall not take effect.
149:2 Fee Increased. Amend RSA 457:29 to read as follows:
457:29 Marriage License Fee. The fee for the marriage license shall be [$40] $45 to be paid by the parties entering into the marriage. The clerk shall forward [$33] $38 from each fee to the department of health and human services for the purposes of RSA 173-B:13. The clerk shall retain the remaining $7 as his fee for making the records of notice, issuing the certificate of marriage, and forwarding the [$33] $38 portion of the marriage license fee.
149:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
