AN ACT
appropriating funds for the redesignation of a portion of
New Hampshire Route 51 as New Hampshire Route 101.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives in General Court convened:

[The route designation change shall become official once the section of the New Hampshire Route 51 improvements are completed between I-95 and the intersection of New Hampshire Routes 101 and 108 in the town of Stratham.] Signs shall be built and installed no later than [January 1, 1997, using federal funds that are designated for this route change during the construction of this section of New Hampshire Route 51] July 1, 1995. Amended 5/11/94
Prepared 5/13/94
FISCAL NOTE for an act appropriating funds for the redesignation of a portion of New Hampshire Route 51 as New Hampshire Route 101.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Department of Transportation has determined this bill, as amended by the House, will increase state Highway Fund expenditures by $20,000 in FY 1995. There will be no impact on state, county and local revenues or on county and local expenditures.
This bill appropriates $20,000 from the Highway Fund for FY 1995 to the Department of Transportation for the purposes of the act.
METHODOLOGY:
The Department states its estimate was based on the costs incurred by the Department when N.H. 16 was relocated to the Spaulding Turnpike and other state routes were extended to fill the void. Major signing changes would be required along the existing N.H. 101, N.H. 51 and I-95 to properly redesignate the section of the highway.
