AN ACT making certain changes concerning the authority and operation of the port authority.

This bill grants the port authority general rulemaking authority. This bill also establishes the port authority advisory committee.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand One
AN ACT making certain changes concerning the authority and operation of the port authority.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
48:1 New Paragraph; Port Authority; Rulemaking. Amend RSA 271-A:4 by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:
V. Any matter necessary for the proper administration of this chapter.
48:2 New Section; Port Authority Advisory Committee. Amend RSA 271-A by inserting after section 21 the following new section:
271-A:22 Port Authority Advisory Committee. There is hereby established the port authority advisory committee. The advisory committee shall assist the port authority in administering loan funds. The advisory committee shall review applications for loan funding to determine whether they meet the minimum eligibility requirements and comply with applicable federal and state laws. The advisory committee shall make recommendations to the port authority board for each application. Members of the advisory committee shall be appointed by the governor.
48:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
