STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Two
AN ACT relative to the licensure of dietitians.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
163:1 New Section; Licensed Dietitians; Exception to Requirements for Licensure. Amend RSA 326-H by inserting after section 12 the following new section:
326-H:12-a Exception of Requirements for Licensure. An applicant for licensure as a dietitian under this chapter who was registered as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration on or before December 31, 2000, shall be deemed to have met the requirements for licensure under RSA 326-H:12, I, II, and III.
163:2 Licensed Dietitians; Requirements for Licensure. Amend RSA 326-H:12, I to read as follows:
I. Hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from a [regionally accredited] college or university [in the United States and have completed] approved by the board with a major course of study in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or food systems management;
163:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
