STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Six

AN ACT relative to the posting of signs restricting the bearing of arms.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Abuse of Office; Signs Restricting the Keeping or Bearing of Arms. Amend RSA 643 by inserting after section 2 the following new section:

643:3 Signs Restricting the Keeping or Bearing of Arms. No public servant, as defined in RSA 640:2, II, shall authorize the posting of a sign, or the publication or announcement of a message, restricting the keeping or bearing of arms, unless such restriction is authorized by law.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
