STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine
AN ACT relative to a definition of “sustainable energy.”
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
171:1 New Paragraph; Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Board. Amend RSA 125-O:2 by inserting after paragraph IX the following new paragraph:
IX-a. “Sustainable energy” means energy that supplies present energy needs without permanently depleting resources, while considering environmental impacts, and without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own energy needs.
171:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
