AN ACT relative to funding sources for the commission on the status of women.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Commission on the Status of Women; State Funds Prohibited. Amend RSA 19-B:7 to read as follows:
19-B:7 Authority to Accept Gifts. The commission may accept any gifts, donations or grants from any source whatsoever provided said gifts, donations or grants so received shall be used exclusively in the furtherance of the duties of the commission. No state funds shall be appropriated to the commission for any purpose.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

AN ACT relative to funding sources for the commission on the status of women.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Commission on the Status of Women states this bill will decrease state general fund expenditures by $140,861 in FY 2010 and $145,218 in FY 2011. There is no fiscal impact on county and local expenditures or state, county, and local revenue.
METHODOLOGY:
The Commission on the Status of Women states this bill prohibits the appropriation of state general funds to the Commission. The Commission estimates the state general fund portion of its budget for FY 2010 to be $140,861 and for FY 2011 to be $145,218. No estimates were provided beyond FY 2011.
