AN ACT relative to the commission to study the creation of an animal care worker classification.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nine

AN ACT relative to the commission to study the creation of an animal care worker classification.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

262:1 New Subparagraphs; Study Commission Membership. Amend 2008, 194:2, I by inserting after subparagraph (i) the following new subparagraphs:

(j) The state veterinarian, or designee.

(k) Two members who currently raise livestock, appointed by the commissioner of agriculture, markets, and food.

(l) The veterinary technology program director for the community college system of New Hampshire, or designee.

262:2 Study Commission Extended. Amend 2008, 194:5 to read as follows:

194:5 Report. The commission shall make an interim report detailing its progress to date and any significant findings to the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, 2009. The commission shall make a final report of its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, [2008] 2010.

262:3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
