STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Ten

AN ACT relative to the exchange of inoperable E-Z pass transponders.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Exchange of Inoperable Transponders; Rulemaking. Amend RSA 237 by inserting after section 16-g the following new section:

237:16-h Exchange of Inoperable Transponders; Rulemaking. The department shall adopt rules under RSA 541-A establishing procedures for the timely exchange of E-Z Pass transponders when such devices become inoperable due to no fault of the consumer. Such exchanges shall be at no cost to the consumer.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
