ANALYSIS

This bill provides that the procedures for discharge or suspension from employment by county government shall not apply to per diem, on call, seasonal, part-time, or infrequent employees.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven

AN ACT relative to the application of procedures for discharge or suspension from county employment.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

153:1 New Paragraph; County Commissioners; Discharge or Suspension from Employment; Employee. Amend RSA 28:10-a by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:

V. For purposes of this section, the term “employee” shall not include individuals who are employed on a per diem, on call, or seasonal basis, or are part-time less than 20 hours per week, or otherwise employed on an infrequent basis.

153:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
