STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen

AN ACT relative to acceptance of grants by state agencies.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Powers of Governor and Council; Approval of Grants Accepted by State Agencies. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 47 the following new section:

4:48 Approval of Grants Accepted by State Agencies. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, before a state agency accepts or expends a grant from any public or private source, the governor and council shall approve its acceptance or expenditure, and the agency shall publicly disclose the purpose of the grant and the source of funds.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
