STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen

AN ACT relative to the advisory committee on international trade.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

7:1 New Paragraph; Advisory Committee on International Trade. Amend RSA 12-A:30 by inserting after paragraph I the following new paragraph:

I-a. The commissioner of resources and economic development shall file an annual report by January 15 with the governor, the senate president, and the speaker of the house of representatives. The report shall detail the impact of the advisory committee’s efforts on international business trade under subparagraph I(e) and provide any recommendations for further legislation regarding the promotion of international trade.

7:2 Members. Amend RSA 12-A:30, II(a) and (b) to read as follows:

(a) One [senator] member of the senate commerce committee, appointed by the senate president.

(b) One [house] member of the house commerce and consumer affairs committee, appointed by the speaker of the house.

7:3 Members. Amend RSA 12-A:30, II(q) to read as follows:

(q) A representative of [the Software Association of New Hampshire who has experience in the area of international trade, appointed by that organization] each member of the New Hampshire congressional delegation.

7:4 New Paragraphs; Term of Appointment; Meetings. Amend RSA 12-A:30 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraphs:

III. Nonlegislative members of the committee shall serve a term of 2 years, commencing with the first meeting in odd-numbered years. Legislative members shall serve terms coterminous with their terms in office.

IV. Meetings shall be held quarterly, at a posted time and place. A majority of committee members shall constitute a quorum.

7:5 Repeal. RSA 12-A:30, I(f), relative to the annual report by the advisory committee, is repealed.

7:6 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
