FISCAL NOTES, ADDITIONS AND UPDATES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE SENATE CLERK'S OFFICE

NOTICES

The President of the Senate has approved the following Senate Calendar publication schedule. The purpose of this schedule is to provide an electronic calendar to all parties on the Internet the weekend prior to each session day and to distribute hard copies of the calendar at least two days prior to each session day.

In order to accomplish the above, it is necessary to establish a deadline for the closing time of the calendar. All information for the following week’s calendar must be to the Calendar Clerk by 9:00 AM on Friday mornings. This allows sufficient time for calendars to be prepared and transmitted by midday Friday to Graphic Services who "lays out" the work by the end of the day for eventual printing. Calendars will be printed early Monday morning and distributed to Senate offices by noon on Monday.

Items that do not make the deadline will be put on the calendar for the next scheduled session. No exceptions to the above will be accepted unless approved by the President of the Senate. Any delay in the above will result in calendars not being available on the Internet over the weekend and hard copy distribution being delayed at least one day.

Remember – The deadline for items for each week’s calendar is

9:00 AM on Friday of the previous week.

Steven J. Winter, Clerk of the Senate

********

One more additional calendar will be published on Wednesday, January 22, 2003. Additional Wednesday calendars are being published for a two-week period to facilitate the scheduling of hearings. Hearing notices published in the Wednesday calendars satisfy the five-day notice requirement specified in Senate Rule 24 for all hearings held during the subsequent week.

THE DEADLINE FOR NEXT WEDNESDAY’S CALENDAR WILL BE

9:00 AM ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2003.

Steven J. Winter, Clerk of the Senate
