Senator John T. Gallus, R-Berlin
Senate District 1

Sen. John T. Gallus, a Republican, was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate in November 2002. Previously, he served for three terms as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives and was majority caucus whip for two of those terms.

Gallus is a member of the Health and Human Services Committee, Finance Committee and serves as the Chairman of the Wildlife, Fish and Game Committee.  His legislative priorities include education funding and finding ways to make government more accessible and responsive to the citizens of the state.

Gallus is a real-estate broker in Berlin, New Hampshire. He is a member and past president of the North Country Board of Realtors and a former vice
chairman of the Berlin Zoning Board.

A lifelong resident of Berlin, Gallus and his wife, Peggy, have one son. Gallus is a graduate of Concord Commercial College.
