Sen. Theodore "Ted" L. Gatsas, a Republican, was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate in November 2000.  

The senator serves on the Capital Budget Committee, the Wildlife and Agriculture Committee, and the Transportation and Interstate Cooperation Committee.

Gatsas co-founded Staffing Network, an employee-leasing company that grew to be one of the largest employers in New England. In addition to his role as a state senator, he serves as the Alderman from Manchester's Ward 2.

Gatsas is a lifelong resident of Manchester. He attended public schools in Manchester, and then entered the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a bachelor's degree.
