Senator Martha Fuller Clark, D-Portsmouth
Senate District 24

Sen. Martha Fuller Clark was elected to the New Hampshire Senate in November 2004. She currently serves as the Senate's President Pro Tem.

Fuller Clark is the chairwoman of the Energy, Environment, and Economic Development Committee, and serves as the vice chairwoman of the Executive Departments and Administration Committee.  Senator Fuller Clark also serves as a member of the Education Committee. 

Previous to her election to the Senate, she was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives for six terms, over the course of which she sponsored or co-sponsored more than 120 bills.

Fuller Clark's dedication to public service stems from her mother, Marion Fuller Brown, who served as a Maine state representative and Republican National Committeewoman. Following in her mother's footsteps, Fuller Clark won a New Hampshire House of Representatives seat in the fall of 1990.

The senator earned a master's degree in art history from Boston University, and has studied at both New York University's Institute of Fine Arts and Mills College in San Francisco. She is married to Dr. Geoffrey Clark. Since 1973, she and Dr. Clark have lived in the city of Portsmouth, where they raised three children, Caleb, Nathaniel and Anna.
