  7/24/2008 344:3 Commission Established. There is established a commission to examine New Hampshire’s home education statutes.
  7/24/2008 344:4 Membership and Compensation. I. The members of the commission shall be as follows:
  7/24/2008 (a) Two members of the house of representatives from the house education committee, appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives. (b) One member of the senate from the senate education committee, appointed by the president of the senate.
  7/24/2008 (c) The commissioner of the department of education, or designee. (d) One member from the New Hampshire School Administrators Association, appointed by the association.
  7/24/2008 (e) One member from the home education advisory council established under RSA 193-A:10, appointed by the chair of the council. (f) One member from the New Hampshire School Boards Association, appointed by the association.
  7/24/2008 (g) One member from the New Hampshire Homeschooling Coalition, appointed by the coalition. (h) One member from Christian Home Educators of New Hampshire, appointed by that organization.
  7/24/2008 (i) One member from the Catholics United for Home Education, appointed by that organization.
  7/24/2008 II. Legislative members of the commission shall receive mileage at the legislative rate when attending to the duties of the commission.
  7/24/2008 344:5 Duties. The commission shall examine New Hampshire’s home education statutes.
  7/24/2008 344:6 Chairperson; Quorum. The members of the commission shall elect a chairperson from among the members. The first meeting of the commission shall be called by the first-named house member.
  7/24/2008 The first meeting of the commission shall be held within 45 days of the effective date of this section. Six members of the commission shall constitute a quorum.
  7/24/2008 344:7 Report. The commission shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate,
  7/24/2008 the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, 2008.
