STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

 

AN ACT relative to COVID-19 health and safety policies at New Hampshire performing arts venues.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Communicable Disease; Performing Arts Venues.  Amend RSA 141-C by inserting after section 16-b the following new section:

141-C:16-c  COVID-19 Health and Safety Policies at Performing Arts Venues.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, upon the expiration of the state of emergency declared in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the owners, operators, and promoters of performing arts venues located in New Hampshire shall have the  authority to establish COVID-19 policies, including mask requirements, vaccine requirements, testing requirements, or a combination thereof, in order to protect patrons, staff, performers, and the venue's financial investments.  Any person acting in good faith to administer or enforce a performing venue's COVID-19 health and safety policy shall be immune from civil liability arising from such conduct.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
