ANALYSIS

This bill requires utility dealers and dealers of recreation vehicles to provide a separate written disclosure to resale buyers of travel trailers, camp trailers or towed recreation vehicles regarding the age and manufacture date of tires installed on the trailer.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Three

AN ACT relative to a tire disclosure for resales of trailers by utility dealers.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1  New Section; Equipment of Vehicles; Utility Dealer, Tire Disclosure for Trailers.  Amend RSA 266 by inserting after section 53 the following new section:

266:53-a  Utility Dealer; Tire Disclosure for Trailers.  Prior to the resale of a travel trailer, camp trailer, or a towed recreation vehicle, a utility dealer or dealer of recreation vehicles shall provide to the buyer a written document disclosing the age and manufacture date of all the tires installed on the trailer.  This written disclosure shall be delivered to the buyer before the buyer signs documents that complete the sale.  This disclosure shall not be on a checklist or other document containing other items, it must be a separate document including the tire age and date of manufacture.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
