STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT relative to yard debris and roadside vegetation.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Yard Debris and Roadside Vegetation. Amend RSA 265:102 by inserting after paragraph I-a the following new paragraph:
I-b. No person shall place or direct placement of yard debris or roadside vegetation, including, but not limited to leaves, branches, and grass clippings, more than two feet into any paved class I, II, III, IV, or V highway. No state agency, local agency, or agent thereof shall place or direct placement of yard debris or roadside vegetation, including but not limited to leaves, branches, and grass clippings, more than 2 feet into any paved class I, II, III, IV, or V highway as a result of routine maintenance operations.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 90 days after its passage.
