Committee Function:It shall be the duty of the Committee on Judiciary to consider all matters relating to the judicial system, right-to-know law, guardianships, life and death (such as abortion or assisted death), landlord/tenant rights, civil proceedings, tort law, forfeiture, immunity, and probate; and such other matters as may be referred to it.
Personal Biography
Born and raised in West Haven, Connecticut; came to New Hampshire in 1978. BS, Magna Cum Laude, Criminal Justice, University of New Haven, 1971; JD, with High Honors, University of Connecticut School of Law, 1975; Executive Editor, Connecticut Law Review. Former Special Agent, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Former long time federal prosecutor in New Hampshire and other locations in Northeast. Private law practice in Concord, NH, 1984-89. More than twenty-seven years service as superior and supreme court justice in New Hampshire. Retired as Chief Justice of New Hampshire Supreme Court, August 2019.
