It shall be the duty of the Committee on Executive Departments and Administration to consider matters pertaining to the general administration of state laws and changes therein; matters of policy pertaining to the executive departments; matters relating to the New Hampshire Retirement System; matters pertaining to the administration of professional licensing; review of performance audits, and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
Dan Fitzpatrick retired as Rochester City Manager in 2018. Upon Dan’s departure a Fosters Editorial noted; “Rochester was in good hands with Fitzpatrick.” Dan is a native of the Hudson Valley region of New York State. He has been married to Jacqueline Boyce Fitzpatrick for 48 years. Jackie and Dan have one child, Laura, who resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. Dan is a past president and past secretary of Rochester Rotary and a member of Rochester Elks Lodge. In retirement Dan volunteers with Rochester Ending 68 Hours of Hunger and Rotary projects/activities. Dan is an accredited Parliamentarian and serves as a consultant on parliamentary procedure to organizations throughout New England.
Local Government Involvement
Dan’s local government involvement includes 43 years as a professional local government administrator. He has work five years in municipal finance and 38 years as a city manager. He served as a city manager in New York, New Jersey, Maine, Michigan, and New Hampshire. Throughout his vast career he has held certifications in; financial management, personal management, quality management, general management, planning and ethics. He has also served a three-month term (appointed to fill a vacancy) on the Rochester City Council and in the early 1980s he served as Commissioner/ Chair of the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority. His efforts in local government have resulted in his receipt of two prestigious recognitions. In 2004 he received the National Public Service Award from the American Society for Public Administration/National Academy of Public Administration and in 2021 Fitzpatrick received the Distinguished Service Award from the International City/County Management Association.
Miscellaneous Information:
Dan currently serves as a consultant in Parliamentary Procedure. He is accredited by the National Association of Parliamentarians as a Professional Registered Parliamentarian. He is also a retired Aikido practitioner and instructor, most recently at Portsmouth Aikido.
