Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on Commerce and Consumer Affairs to consider all matters pertaining to commerce, banks and banking institutions; insurance companies and contracts or insurance of any character; the licensing of businesses to sell liquor; the needs of the business community; all matters relating to consumer affairs and the economic conditions of commerce and industry; all matters relating to the economic development of the state, and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Resources, Recreation and Development

Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on Resources, Recreation and Development to consider all matters relating to natural resources, water pollution and control; parks and recreational areas; recreational industries; matters concerning state controls on property development; and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
Rep. McGough is a former member of the NH State Legislature, first elected in 1996, serving his first two terms 1996-2000. In his second term, appointed Republican Caucus Whip by the Speaker. He served both terms on the House Committee on Commerce. He is a 30-year resident of his district, the Town of Merrimack, Hillsborough County, District 12. He is a licensed Paramedic and is currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer for a publicly held medical device company focused on improving lung health and organ transplant diagnostics. He has a passion for improving patient clinical outcomes and holds multiple patents in cardiovascular and hemodynamic resuscitation devices.
