Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on Ways and Means to examine and consider the state of the treasury; to consider and report on all bills and resolutions relating to raising money by a state tax and the apportionment of same; matters relating to taxes and fees on tobacco; all dedicated funds except for the highway and turnpike funds; state fees, and all methods of raising revenue for the state; and such other matters as may be referred to it. The Committee on Ways and Means shall report to the House in the form of a resolution its estimates of state revenues on a periodic basis.

Personal Biography
Dennis Malloy is serving his fifth term in the NH House of Representatives now representing Greenland and Rye. He was appointed to the Ways & Means Committee in 2017 and served as clerk in the 2019-2020 term. Dennis was originally elected to the NH House from Barrington in 2012 and appointed to the Municipal andCounty Government Committee. From 2001 to 2011 Dennis served as the Chief Development Officer for NH PBS and is an arbitrator with the Financial Industries Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Dennis and his wife Laura both graduated from college and began their professional careers in Iowa. Dennis holds degrees from Coe College in Cedar Rapids and Iowa State University in Ames. In Iowa, Dennis served as Director of Development and Community Relations for Iowa Public Television and as station manager for an FM radio station in Des Moines.

Dennis served two terms as Trustee of Trust Funds and Selectman in Barrington, and two terms as Trustee of Trust Funds in Greenland.
