Personal Biography
2nd Term
Represents Belmont
My name is Douglas Trottier. I am married with five children. I reside in the Town of Belmont. I served my first term as an NH State Legislator from 2020 thru 2022 and served on the Judiciary Committee. I have served as a Police Officer for over 30 years in various roles. I was a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Belmont Fire Department for several years. I earned my associate degree in criminal justice for Eastern Gateway Community College in Ohio. I am currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University, working on my bachelor's degree in criminal justice and administration, in hopes of attending law school.
In my free time, I enjoy camping with my family and fishing in this great state's waterways, along with hunting in the great northern woods.
Local Government Involvement
I look forward to running for a position on my communities' board of selectmen.
Miscellaneous Information:
I look forward to serving the people of Belknap County District 8 and all of the people of NH in my second term as a state legislator.
