AN ACT relative to establishing an exception to vessel registration.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill exempts from vessel registration certain small vessels that sell foodstuffs or non-alcoholic beverages to the public, provided the owner of such vessel does not derive more than $5,000 in gross receipts from such sales during a calendar year.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT relative to establishing an exception to vessel registration.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Vessel Registration; Exemption Added.  Amend RSA 270-E:4 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:

IV.  A vessel under 15 feet in length, however powered, that is not used for hire to transport passengers or goods as a common carrier, but from which foodstuffs or non-alcoholic beverages are sold to the public, provided the owner of such vessel does not derive more than $5,000 in gross receipts from such sales during a calendar year.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after passage.
