STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT relative to communications between agencies and citizens.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; Powers and Duties of Commissioners; Agency Responses.  Amend RSA 21-G:9, V by inserting after subparagraph (c) the following new subparagraph:

(d)  Assure that their agencies and all divisions, bureaus and sections therein promptly respond to all inquiries, complaints and requests for assistance within 3 business days of being contacted.  Responses shall be made to the individual that contacted the agency.  The response shall be made by an employee of the agency and not an automated or computerized program.  The response shall be via email, telephone call, or in person.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
