STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT making an appropriation for the printing costs of the New Hampshire state constitution.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Appropriation; Secretary of State; New Hampshire State Constitutions. The sum of $15,500 for the biennium ending June 30, 2025 is hereby appropriated to the secretary of state. Said appropriation shall be used by the secretary of state to print 10,000 New Hampshire state constitutions and shall not be used for any other purposes. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

METHODOLOGY:
This bill appropriates $15,500 from General Funds to the Secretary of State to be used to print 10,000 copies of the New Hampshire State Constitution. The Department of State indicates this bill appropriates $1.55 per copy of the constitution, however the most recent cost, June 2023, was $1.48 per copy of the constitution. However, the price may vary over time.
It is assumed any fiscal impact from this bill would not occur until FY 2025.
