STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT relative to allowing private ownership of small tailed monkeys, raccoons, foxes, otters, skunks, and kangaroos.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Wildlife Division; Animals Allowed to Be Owned Without Permit.  Amend RSA 207:14 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:

III-a.  The following animals may be possessed as companion animals without a permit from the department:

(a)  Small tailed monkeys.

(b)  Raccoons.

(c)  Foxes.

(d)  Otters.

(e)  Skunks.

(f)  Red tailed kangaroos.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
