EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Section 99-B:1

    99-B:1 Declaration of Purpose. – It is hereby declared to be the purpose of this chapter to grant to employees assigned to the various highway patrol crews in the department of transportation certain privileges similar to those accorded their fellow workers in private industry.

Section 99-B:2

    99-B:2 Overtime Work. – Employees assigned to the various highway patrol crews in the department of transportation shall, during the period from November 1 through March 31 each year, in addition to their regular compensation, be paid at the rate of time and one-half on a minute basis for all time worked in excess of 8 hours during any one day. Such a day shall be defined as beginning at the time a man is required to report for duty and shall end at the time of final release.

Section 99-B:3

    99-B:3 Exceptions. – Overtime rates shall not be applicable to employees assigned to highway patrol crews in the department of transportation during any state of emergency declared by the governor and council.
