Committee Function:
It shall be the duty of the Committee on Public Works and Highways to consider all matters pertaining to the development and repair of public highways; the Highway Fund; the Turnpike Fund; buildings and capital construction; the capital budget; matters pertaining to state bonding authority; capital expenditures related to the improvement and preservation of the coastline; the care of state memorials and monuments; and such other matters as may be referred to it.

Personal Biography
Ben, who was born and raised in Winchester and became a Volunteer Fireman at the age of 21, is no stranger to controversy. He was actively involved with defending the town against the proposed pipeline by Kinder Morgan. He still continues to serve the town as the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, serving on the Budget Committee, Conservation Committee, Town Beach Committee and also served on the School Board.

Most recently he spoke at the School Board deliberative (Feb 2020) for a more reasonable budget. He met with the school administration after the request was made from the superintendent for any Winchester resident that had suggestions for the proposed budget to please contact him.

Ben was actively involved with the local Drug Free Coalition and advocated in Washington help fund and bring awareness to the youth within the community.

Ben resides and is employed in Winchester. He is the father of six children and three grandchildren . He made the decision to be a candidate in order to keep the NH advantage.
